Job Description - Music Director - Wellington Music Centre
Primary Objectives
To assist us to achieves our goals of:
-
Providing music lessons which reflect the diverse nature of the school community.

Encouraging and assisting students to reach their full potential in learning, writing or playing music.
-
Managing and growing talent tutors who provide the music tuition
-
Enabling students to explore their capabilities, to develop self-awareness, maturity and competencies through music.
-
Promoting music within the community.
Key responsibilities
Oversee operations including
-
Preparing the annual class schedule, enrolment and instrument plan
-
Marketing and comms for the music classes and tutors
-
Managing enrolments of students to classes
-
Managing attendance of students and liaison and feedback with parents and caregivers on classes
-
Reporting to board and MNS on operational performance
Manages tutors including
-
Hiring of tutors (with direction of the WMC Board and Miramar North School Principal)
-
Delivery of the music classes tuition in compliance to policies and procedures.
-
Managing attendance of tutors and ongoing performance of tutors
-
works with the tutors to develop and prepare for workshops and performances.
Schedule
-
Saturday mornings being onsite at Miramar North School 8.30 am - 1 pm when classes are held during term times at Miramar North school

Additional flexible hours - offsite working from home
-
Attending meetings once per month held with the WMC Charitable Trust Board

About the Wellington Music Centre (WMC)
The Wellington Music Centre provided music lessons on Saturdays during school term times at Miramar North School for students aged 5-12 years old.
We offer lessons in 15 different instruments across beginner to advanced levels.
