If you know you will not be returning to the Wellington music centre in 2022 and are not able to make this lesson then we ask that you please return your instrument to your tutor today.
If you would like to continue your instrument hire in 2022 we have a special offer for you that allows you to hire your instrument over the holiday period if you would like to. Please contact us on contactus@wellingtonmusiccentre.org.nz to request the code for the summer instrument hire plans

2021 final classes and End of Year performances
Our final classes for 2021 will be held on the 11th December. - the last Saturday session is always a special occasion as our students will be performing songs they have learnt in the year.
These classes will be run slightly differently to usual due to the Covid restrictions.
The first ten minutes will be spent with tutors practicing and preparing for the students to present their learning to their parents.
Parents and caregivers will then be invited into the classrooms to watch their children perform.
We will need everyone entering the classroom to sanitise, wear a mask and manage a distance of at least 1 m when entering the classrooms.
Parents and caregivers are welcome to watch some of the other performances whilst on site that will be happening in the classrooms - it's a great opportunity to hear the range of talent and variety of instruments being played.
Farewell to tutors and to Lea our Music Director
We are sad to say goodbye to Liam (cello), Lydia (saxophone and recorder), Jamie and Jude (guitar), and Lyndsey (Flute and pre-instrumental) at the end of this year.
We wish them all the best for their new adventures and are sure they will be sorely missed at the Music Centre. We look forward to introducing you to the new tutors who will be taking over these classes in due course. Our wonder music director, Lea Hunt is also leaving as she and her family are relocating to Auckland, Lea has been a wonderful person to lead the music centre in our start up year at Miramar North School and we wish her well in her future career up in Auckland.
