Term 4 update 2021 - classes and news

Music classes restarting - Saturday 30th Oct 2021
The Wellington Music Centre team is fortunate to be able to run our classes for Term 4 at Miramar North School under Alert Level 2 at the usual scheduled times.
There are restrictions on social distancing and hygiene under Alert Level 2 for visitors entering the school grounds, and student attendance at classes. We ask all visitors to the Miramar North School to adhere to these for the Saturday music classes. The details of these have been sent out to attendees but if you are wanting to come and enquire as a new visitor read through these below and in needed Contact us.
Visitor and student attendance requirements under Alert Level 2
When entering Miramar North School.
All visitors must scan in using the NZ Covid Tracer App upon arrival at school gates.
Parents/Caregivers coming into the school grounds must wear a mask. Only one adult per child/family is allowed on site.
Do not enter the tutors classroom - this includes parents and siblings, only students are permitted.
All visitors must follow physical distancing guidelines on school grounds. 2 metres apart.
Once the student's class has finished please leave the grounds immediately. (No staying to play on the school playground).
Water fountains at the school are not to be used during level 2 so please bring a drink bottle if required.
Please ask your child to go to the toilet prior to leaving home. Due to health and hygiene we need to be careful of cross contamination of students and facilities. Naturally if your child needs to go to the toilet they are able to.
Students are to wait outside their classrooms. The tutor will invite students in when they have the room ready after the previous class students have left the classroom..
Hygiene in classrooms
All students must sanitise once they enter the classroom, using the hand sanitisers provided.
Classes will be cross ventilated with open windows.
Students can only bring their instruments into the classrooms.No other belongings.
Where students share instruments e.g. keyboards, tutors will wipe down the keyboards in-between classes. Parents are welcome to bring a bacterial wipe if they would like to.
Students will be appropriately socially distanced while in their class.
The desks and chairs used will be sanitised after each lesson.
Feeling unwell or uncertain
As a visitor if you or your child have a cough, fever or flu like symptoms please do come onsite to the Miramar North School during lesson times.
If your are your child is not comfortable with the above requirements we understand your concerns and ask you to stay safe at home.
