Music Explorers - Term 1 - 9:30am

About the class

Explore music at Wellington Music Centre! In this special class for our smallest musicians (ages 5-6) kids and caregivers have fun together learning about music, led by Wellington Music Centre’s charismatic Music Director Peter Liley and violinist Miru Shimaoka. Together, big people and small people will get started with singing, rhythm, listening, and learning about many wonderful musical instruments, sparking joy and curiosity for music from the very beginning of their journey. This is a relaxed class in which we welcome all children who want a fun and easy start to music, including neurodivergent and special needs children. Younger siblings (younger than 5) are also welcome in the class. Families may leave early or take a break for a week if the kids need it. Music Explorers runs term-by-term to give families flexibility. Explorers big and small are welcome to join for a single term, several terms, or the whole year!
