About the class
Learn to sing at Wellington Music Centre! In this class your child will work in a small group alongside a skilled music tutor to learn how to find their voice. Along the way they'll learn singing technique, such as correct posture and breathing, and learn all aspects of musical language, including pitch, dynamics, articulation, tempo, and more. With these skills your child will learn to sing confidently by themselves, as part of a group, and begin to express themselves through music! Wellington Music Centre classes are a full-year commitment. Please consider other activities like Winter sports when selecting a class time. Classes take place on Saturdays during school terms, and are taught in groups of up to 5. Time: Saturday 9:30 - 10:00am Location: Room 11 Teacher: Greer Age range: 7-9 years old How Music Works – alongside their usual instrument class, all beginner students are enrolled in a 30-minute How Music Works class for no extra charge. In these fun group sessions, students will learn all about the world of music and develop their musical skills, including singing, listening, keeping a beat, reading sheet music, and music theory. You'll be prompted to select a How Music Works class time when you enrol (9:30am, 10:30am or 11:30am). To read more about this class head to the front page of our website.
