Welcome to 2026! To kick off our year at Wellington Music Centre we’re opening the gates and welcoming our community to join us at our annual Open Day before classes begin on February 14th. Whether your family is new to WMC or your kids are returning for another year, the Open Day is your chance to learn about our programme, ask any questions you have, enrol if you haven't already, and get prepared for music classes on 14th February.

At the open day you can:

• Meet the Wellington Music Centre teachers and team

• See & hear our range of instruments

• Enrol into classes

• Discover our free music groups:

  • Miramar Kids Choir (ages 7-12)

  • Peninsula Family Choir (all ages)

  • Raucoustra (ages 8-12)

• Ask questions about the WMC programme

• Learn about our exciting new How Music Works class for beginner students

• Pick up hired instruments

• Attend a workshop on encouraging your kids to practice their instruments

Of course there will also be musical performances by students and staff. We look forward to seeing you there!
